Monday, February 28
Today we reviewed a little with the verb ir, time, and interrogative words.  We introduced the verb estar and when to use ser vs. estar seeing as how they both mean "to be." We practiced with a game. Homework:  Ser vs. Estar Worksheet

Thursday, February 24th
Today we continued with interrogative words and finished our poster projects.  We practiced interrogative words with a 'snowball' activity. No homework today.

Tuesday, February 22
Today we introduced interrogative words (words we use to ask questions).  We sang a song to help remember the words and went through a powerpoint.  We introduced a poster making project that we will continue during the next class.  Homework: Interrogative word worksheet

2nd & 7th blocks - Wednesday, Feb.23rd

Today we practiced interrogative words online.  Links can be found on the Spanish 1 Moodle page.  Then we learned about the verb estar and its differences from ser.  See me for the handout and another student for notes you may have missed.  Homework was to complete the ser/estar handout, including the letter that represents the reason you chose the verb.

Tuesday/Wednesday Feb.22nd/23rd

Today we reviewed the homework over interrogative words, then did some in-class activities to practice.  There is no homework unless in-class work isn't completed in class.

February 18th - 1st and 8th Block

Friday, February 18th
Today we had a vocab quiz over 2-2 A,B, and C vocabulary.  We reviewed time again and did a partner activity to practice some more. No homework for tonight.

February 16 -- 1st and 8th Block

Wednesday, February 16
Today we played Bingo to review vocabulary because there is a quiz on Friday over all three sections.  We also worked some more and did more practice with telling time.  I collected participation Euros and checked notes and bell ringers while the students started their homework. Homework: Time/Schedule worksheet

2nd & 7th blocks (Feb.16/17)
We reviewed vocab (all three sections) for our quiz on Thursday/Friday.  We then finished talking about time and did some practice with it.  Time worksheet for homework.

February 15, 2011--Spanish 1 --1st and 8th Block

Tuesday, February 15
Today we introduced new vocabulary 2-2C.  We also started discussing time and how we tell time and we will continue with that next class.  No homework for tonight.

Feb.14 / Feb.15

Today we reviewed the first two sections of vocab from chapter 2-2.  We also got new flashcards to add.  We learned how to talk about time and students have a sheet that they are to keep in their notes to refer to throughout this chapter.  For homework, students have a time worksheet to complete.

Today we took the 2-1 test over "-ar" verbs, adverbs with frequency, tener que, hay que, and vocabulary. There is no homework for tonight.

Today we reviewed for the test that is tomorrow, Tuesday, February 7. The following topics will be on the test:  adverbs with frequency (how often you do something), tener que, hay que, "-ar" verbs, and vocabulary.  No homework today so that they students can study for the test.
