Spn 1 - 1st and 8th block

Tuesday, March 29
Today we took the vocabulary quiz and then introduced ir + a + infinitive which means "is going to (do something)."  We practiced more with irregular verbs and with er and ir verbs.  Homework: Write about your favorite movie using 5 sequencing words, 8 vocabulary words, 3 ir + a + infinitive cases, and 5 er or ir verbs.

Today we introduced new vocabulary and reviewed the vocab for the quiz tomorrow March 29.  We also reviewed er and ir verbs and sequencing words.  Homework:  Study for the quiz

Today we practiced more with er and ir verbs as well as introduced four irregular verbs.  We also introduced new vocabulary and practiced the words for the vocabulary quiz which will be on Tuesday, March 22.  No homework.

Today we introduced interrogative words (words we use to ask questions).  We sang a song to help remember the words and went through a powerpoint.  We introduced a poster making project that we will continue during the next class.  Homework: Interrogative word worksheet

2nd & 7th blocks - Wednesday, Feb.23rd

Today we practiced interrogative words online.  Links can be found on the Spanish 1 Moodle page.  Then we learned about the verb estar and its differences from ser.  See me for the handout and another student for notes you may have missed.  Homework was to complete the ser/estar handout, including the letter that represents the reason you chose the verb.

Today we played Bingo to review vocabulary because there is a quiz on Friday over all three sections.  We also worked some more and did more practice with telling time.  I collected participation Euros and checked notes and bell ringers while the students started their homework. Homework: Time/Schedule worksheet

2nd & 7th blocks (Feb.16/17)
We reviewed vocab (all three sections) for our quiz on Thursday/Friday.  We then finished talking about time and did some practice with it.  Time worksheet for homework.

Today we introduced new vocabulary 2-2C.  We also started discussing time and how we tell time and we will continue with that next class.  No homework for tonight.

Today we reviewed the first two sections of vocab from chapter 2-2.  We also got new flashcards to add.  We learned how to talk about time and students have a sheet that they are to keep in their notes to refer to throughout this chapter.  For homework, students have a time worksheet to complete.
